In order to keep things consolidated for now, my Cabot Trail blog is now becoming part of the Atlantic Canada (Maritimes) blog:

Okay, we leave tomorrow! Our first destination is Hopewell Rocks in New Brunswick, and we'll be staying at the Artisan Suite, which will likely be the first post from this trip. To add a wrinkle to this adventure holiday, I may end up having to switch legs for the Cabot Trail Relay Race and run an evening leg Saturday night rather than my second leg after 24 hours rest. We'll see what happens...
It's now been almost a week since I got a moderately bad cold that essentially stopped my training. No fever, no nausea, no real weakness - just congestion and a pretty bad cough; so safe to say it's not the Swine Flu (H1N1). I'm trying to view this as a forced early taper; most importantly, I hope to be able to get in another week's worth of at least light training before the race begins. As part of my motivation, here's a road trip video of the Cabot Trail - Cape Breton, Nova Scotia here I come, healthy or not!
All right, we now have out intinerary for Atlantic Canada and the Cabot Trail all complete! Here's our plan:
Days 1/2: Hopewell Rocks, New Brunswick (The Artisan's Suite)
Day 3: Halifax, Nova Scotia (Garden View B&B)
Days 4/5: Baddeck, Nova Scotia (Bell View B&B)
Day 6: Cabot Trail, Nova Scotia (Keltic Lodge)
Day 7: Charlottetown, PEI (Charlotte Rose Inn)
Day 8: northeast PEI (Johnson Shore Inn)
Day 9: New Brunswick (Auberge les Jardins)
Less than one month before our journey begins! I'll provide more detail on the key interesting locales in the coming weeks...

We've made our first hotel reservation! On our way towards the Cabot Trail, our first stop will be at Hopewell Cape in New Brunswick, where we'll spend the day in, on and around the Hopewell Rocks. I'll write more about the Hopewell Rocks, but in the meantime, we'll be staying our first two nights at the Artisan Suite (www.artisansuite.com).
